For this dreams-themed MOC, we needed to make a build featuring a sleeping minifigure. The twins’ Stargazing Camping Vehicle set gifted by lola and lolo inspired our setup. We built a vertical mosaic backdrop supported by locking hinges that would be split in two: one side showing the starry night of the waking world and the other side depicting the dream world.

On the side of the waking world, we have Aliya sleeping cosily in her tent right next to a pile of books. To give viewers a nice angle to see inside her tent, we used A-shaped wedge plates to rotate her tent by 45°. The night sky above features several celestial objects, including a spiral galaxy and a constellation from Orion’s shield.

Surrounding her tent is dense vegetation and quite a bit of wildlife. In the corner is a broad tree that protects an owlet, while hidden amoing the crush is Bruni the salamander and Marshmallow the hedgehog. Finishing the look are her camping supplies and a small campfire that she used to make dinner.

The twins have been following the Muppet Babies and we were fortunate to find a complete set of the CMF series for this Dreams build. The Muppets are a perfect cast of characters for Aliya’s dream world. The inspirational idea for this dreamscape is a Muppets’ Adventure in Wonderland, with zany scenes and an ultracolorful backdrop. Two suns light up the sky as butterflies, a turtle, and a purple splat fly across it.

Miss Piggy hosts the tea party in her gala attire, featuring a heart sceptre and a gold bracelet. The Swedish Chef appears exhausted, sitting on the ground, after preparing the exquisite spread of pastries, pies, and sweets (including Pooh’s hunnypot!). Next to the party, we find Kermit and Animal hanging out. Kermit relaxes in a gilded tub while playing his banjo. Animal in the meantime rides a wheelbarrow with a gigantic T-bone in hand.

The rest of the gang are hanging around doing what they do best. Janice is rocking a tune on top of a floating crystal stage. A tiny tile from Paco’s collection inspires her and her fans to “Dream Big!” Flying in Janice’s direction is Gonzo with a handful of flowers. Known for his affinity for dangerous stunts, it’s quite likely that he was launched into the air by an explosion that left a trail of flames behind him.
